ABOUT ME
Student, Wife, Mother and Educator
I am the mother of five boys! In 2012 I conjured up the courage to apply for University and pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. Eight and a half years I finally graduated - Bachelor of Education. My studies were interrupted after the surprise addition of another child to our family, only a mere twenty years gap between him and his next youngest sibling.
I must admit that attending University as a mature age student has often been terrifying. My own childhood educational experience was not a good one. Returning to study awakened all those horrible feelings I experienced as a young child at school. Nonetheless, this is why I continue because I believe that my past experiences will help me to be a teacher who is empathetic and caring toward all students. I will stand alongside and fight for the strugglers, the ones that are labeled as reluctant learners, and the ones everyone else gives up on.
